Enjoyed a nice trip to California spending some time with family. It's usually Florida so it was nice to check out the other coast for a while. It was about five hours door to door and I'm one that doesn't mind solo road trips so I took a different route each way to mix things up. Some of California is beautiful some is downright ugly. Who lives in the high desert of California anyway?

It's time for the BBThree and thanks to Al for all the great prizes. His blog is updated today with the payouts and it does seem juicy. I've decided that I will in no way, shape, or form, kill myself to play all the events. Good luck to those of you who do and good luck to those already with shaky marriages and relationships since this might be the end for you.

Breaking this down, the key to all of this is winning a seat in the TOC. You get a seat in there you have a shot for the big prize, you don't you'll probably be lucky to break out even from this whole endeavor unless of course you go deep in the Big Game a couple times. $1018 is the total cost so it will be very interesting to see the net wins and loses when this is over.

My goal is of course a TOC seat and an early TOC seat. Although the monthly prizes of a $2K WSOP looks good they only go out to one points leader and the odds of winning that a very fucking slim. I think playing some other bigger non-BBThree tournaments and a bunch of cash both online and live makes the likelyhood of winning $2K much greater so that is where my focus will be.

Also, let's not forget that there are no third-party registrations to the WSOP and that whoever wins the $12K ME packages might not even play in the ME as $12K in cash might be a better option. If that does happen then the controversy will be HUGE. This was not an issue during the Aussie package but I can see a big time controversy waiting to happen.

For example what if two non-bloggers win, take the $12K and pocket it? Or for that matter what if two bloggers win and take the $12K and pocket it? I know for a lot of you that playing in the ME and cashing are two huge goals but I certainly know it's not one of mine and I'd much rather have $12K. Or what about say a family man with kids I'm sure that family can use $12K more than a lottery ticktet. Oh well we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

So get out to the Big Game this Sunday night and help kick off the BBThree. If we do get 65 players first place will be a whopping $1502.48

March Big Game

I'd say it's time to get those tokens. Or for those who agree with Blinders and think satellites are a waste of time and money you can buy straight in for $75 cash money. Either way I think you should sign up.

Nothing is official yet but March 2nd just might be Event #1 of the BBThree and I know you don't want to miss out of what will be a phat prize pool as well as the first TOC seat.



Fifty something events before this will all be over. Tempers will flare, relationships will become (more)strained, the chat boxes will be blown up, and the posts will be nasty. I can't wait. I also have some insight in to what the prizes may be and for what's at stake it should be an interesting three months. Fuck I hope to get a TOC early!

Back Again

Yes I'm back. I had a nice posting vacation and I'm actually going on a real vacation, if you can call anything from my life a vacation, this weekend. Santa Barbara, CA here I come.

Degenerate notes. The Over/Under on the NBA All-Star game was 262. The finals score was East 134 West 128. I'm sure the linesmakers were pissed they hit it right on the total but can you imagine all the degenerates sweating the game to get a push? Thats sickening really.

This NASCAR shit? I never really understood red necks going around in circles but there were no sports on TV so I figured I'd watch the end of the "Great American Race." It was fucking ridiculous. These donks are suppose to go 200 laps and they do well for 170 of them but them the last 30 laps are, one lap, crash, four orbits on yellow, race again, two laps, crash, four more laps on yellow, and they do this until the very end. Where the fuck is the excitement in all of this? Here's my theory, the fix is in. Fox pays drivers to crash so you can take and hour and a half to finish thirty laps with 142 commercials mixed in. I'll never watch that shit again.

Did everyone have fun during FTOPS? Did anyone net a profit during FTOPs chasing all the tournaments and satellites? Congrats to those who did. I showed a small net loss myself but this is the one the hurt the most.



I'm sure everyone has seen teaser about the BBThree by now so I recommend getting some tokens because I do know there is a Big Game set up at Full Tilt Poker for March 2 at 21:30 for a cost of $75. Whether it's Event #1 of the BBThree well I guess we'll no soon enough.

Oh and finally to those asking about Chapter 3 it is completed along with a few other chapters and I'll probably start posting them again next week after my Vegas two year review.

Grinding

All my writing skills going to waste as my life has become online poker, college basketball, girlie chat and some occasional vodka.

I'm still grinding away trying for that big tournament score but nothing as of yet. It's coming though baby, I feel it.

I learned how to "never say never" after the umpteenth time I put my foot in my mouth but I never thought I'd turn into a 95% online player. I was all about the soft games in Vegas, the donkey tourists, the big cash money if you won a tournament but now whenever I play live I'm easily bored to tears.

No tipping, better tourney structures, my own house, not having to listen to asshats tell bad beat stories all day, if I have some cocktails no driving, multi-tabling, the list goes on and on. I never thought I'd see the day.

The Venetian Deep Stack started on Monday with an amazing 571 players in the $330NL event #1. I was thinking about playing in some of the events but it's particularly hard to transition from playing online MTTs to live MTTs as you see half the amount of hands and the payouts are extremely top heavy. I guess on the plus side though the play is horrendous usually so any bit of cards and you can go far. I'm undecided at this point so we'll see how it goes.

Did anybody catch this article about the beating the sports books took on the Super Bowl. I know the book almost always wins but this was only the second lose on Super Bowl Sunday in 18 years with the previous only totaling $400K? Amazing.

I haven't read many blogs or major sites Super Bowl articles but I truly believe the Giants minus that loud mouth Tiki Barbar were a better team. It's looking more and more like he was the distruptive force on the team last year, and still wouldn't let it go at the beginning of this season. Not only that he is one of the ugliest human beings on the planet as well as being a first rate assclown. Suck one Tiki.
