Hoops Baby

Congrats to all the bloggers making the big scores last weekend. It's nice to see some many big cashes already this year and we're not even done with March yet. I can't wait to see who the first one is that cashes for six figures, not counting winning the BBThree.

I didn't play much poker this weekend as it was all college hoops for me. I did manage to turn $500 into a very nice sum and I also banged a super hot 19-year-old escort but she wouldn't let me take any pictures without paying double so unfortunately I don't have any cool screenshots. Oh well maybe on my next score.

The first weekend of March Madness was a blast and for some reason the Cox Cable here in Vegas had all four games on at once, which sure beat the hell out of paying extra for it. So between the TVs, and the computers I was definitely multi-tabling the games.

Does anybody know if Billy Packer is done fellating Stephon Curry yet? Yes that kid can shoot but get off the mans cock already Billy. He has to be the worst commentator this side of Joe Theisman. My guess is you'll be listening to him at the East Regional in Charlotte this weekend where he will be fellating Psycho T.

The crew over at Awful Announcing have their grades up from the weekend if anyone is interested. I'm sure they also be posting the regional announcing crews as soon as they are made public. Please CBS, let Gus Johnson do a regional final this year.

Looks like tomorrow starts the blogger parade through Vegas. I have plans over the next four weekends to meet up with bloggers for hoops, poker, meals, oh and yes cocktails. It should be exciting as I start to emerge from my Winter Hibernation and start getting back on track playing live cash, working up to be battle ready for the juicy six weeks of WSOP cash games. I can almost feel the heat of walking across the Rio Parking lot as well as the smell of dead money. Is there anyplace on the planet better than Vegas in June?

I hope everyone had a wonderful and profitable weekend and lets continue to see this big blogger cashes.

March Madness

March Madness Rules!

Since last week beginning with Conference Champioships all my days, other than donking in the BBThree or Fantasy Baseball drafts have been college hoops. I love this time of year.

Watching and betting on college basketball blows away folding cards and bad beats. So much more excitement and so much more profit.

So that's my story and I'm sticking too it.

Hope everyone is running well whether it's college hoops or poker.

Back to regular scheduled blogging next week.

BoDog Pimpage

Let's change it up tonight in the pimpage.

So are you looking for an Online Poker Tournament that is just for bloggers where you don't have to navigate 100 players fields of bloggers, non-bloggers and pros?

You don't need a a TOC seat either to have a shot at a WSOP ME seat. Finish in the top 18 over 18 qualifying events and play in a two table SnG for a 1 in 18 chance at a WSOP ME prize package. Heck, Blinders has declared himself a lock for one of the eighteen spots so you can see how soft the field will be.

Get over to Bodog and get signed up today. They are already five events in and it's too late to play against Waffles as he's already "broken even" but it's not to late to qualify for the WSOP ME Seat over the remaining 13 events. Hope to see you there tonight.

Libertarian

No Julius Goat I am not, nor have I ever, been a fan of religion or the religious right. I'm really a Libertarian at heart and while I'm not fan of GW Bush I truly detest any type of liberal or socialist government. Personal responsibility, less government, free enterprise, and private charity work for me.

If the Democrats could possibly put a moderate on their ticket, which it's obvious at this point that is not happening, I would have strongly considered voting that way. Thankfully the Republican party sticks together and they've nominated a moderate and when the smoke clears in November I do think McCain, although with some faults, will be president.

Middle of the road works for me. We don't need extreme left or right here. And don't even get me started on socialized medicine which will set back free enterprise and capitalism, perhaps forever. Makes me sick to my stomach to even think about that.

Anyway thats my two days of politics and that should be it for a while.

If you haven't been to Scott Mc's blog yet do yourself a favor a go read his "Swan Song." Wish you well brother.

Wow was that Mookie a minefield last night. Between the suckouts and horrible CALLS I don't even know what to think. As always, I'm going back and forth on whether to even play these BBThree events and if so how many, and I'm still on the fence.

I mean tonight for instance, $11 PLO with maybe four people who really know how to play, ten people who have a slight clue how to play, and 100 others (myself included) who have no fucking idea how to play. Tonight just might be the night the fights starts, that is if anyone still has chat priviledges after the FTP crackdown.

This is an easy prediction. The alledged players who think they are good at PLO and think this may be their shot at a TOC will not win tonight. They will get snapped off by some donk, hey might even be me, who plays a shit hand and gets lucky or goes runner runner perfect. So sorry to you knowledgeble PLO donks, don't get your panties in a bunch when you don't win.

Almost time for March Madness boys and girls. Is everybody excited? Looks like The U will be back in the big dance after a six year break. Good luck boys, now go secure that first round bye in the ACC tourney by beating the cheaters up at Florida St. BTW did you know you need like a 10 on your ACT or a 600 on your SAT and a 1.25 GPA in high school to get into Florida St?

That's enough for today. Good luck tonight in Riverchasers...you're going to need it.

BBThree is Fun

What is it with you Democrats and the love of that preacher Obama? You are actually letting him seduce you with his rhetoric? Does anyone know what he really stands for other than change, whatever change really means? Be afraid of the Siren's call people be very afraid.

That goes for you too Iggy over there at Guinness and Politics!

This BBThree sure is fun. Congrats to anyone who gets through any of the massive mine fields that are these events. $11 PLO will certainly be a clinic tomorrow night.

Somehow I got 8th in the MATH the other night. I'm not much for six-handed but I won a couple flips then somehow beat 99 with A9. I did run out of gas though in the end but I was staying aggressive as all the money and TOC seat is in winning. Congrats to Columbo for taking that one down. IMO he is a vastly underrated player and I definitely put him in the top 10 of all bloggers tournament players.

I love me some Stud but that game can be a tad card dependent and I had shit so I went home early. Oh well limit structures in tournaments blow so unless you get cards or get lucky early not much you can do.

I did do the Bodonkey last night and went out within 30 minutes. I flopped a set v. a flopped flush and no way am I folding that for $11. Somehow after missing two of those events and busting early last night I'm still in 17th place in the standings so there is still hope in getting one of the 18 seats in that TOC.

Congrats to the Mookies on the birth of #6 Amelia Carol. Thats an awesome family for sure and hopefully some of you can make it down in May.

BBThree Event One

105! Holy fuck Al you've created a monster. Unfortunately I was card dead so I was not the victim of one of the 100+ suckouts so I lingered to 30th place by floating and stealing whenever I could. I finally pushed KT into 99 so somehow I got a race with that shitty hand even though it ended my night.

I did make some structure changes to the Big Game going forward. In talking with a couple of respected tournament players it was noted that when we got down to 4-5 tables left, other than the big stacks the M's of most players were in the 5-8 range, which I find unacceptable. With so many chips in play and a faster structure I think we lost a lot of play during the crucical mid-late stage of the tournament.

So going forward the Big Game will start with 3000 chips but we will have 12 minute levels. The extra two minutes per level might not sound like much but it will definitely make a difference playing five levels per hour as opposed to six. Also the next three Big games are up and available for sign-ups and they are scheduled for March 30, April 27, the final BBThree event on June 1.

Going forward I can't imagine how big some of these fields are going to be. Sure it was the kick-off and we shattered all records in the Big Game but if we had 105 for a $75 Big Game what will the numbers be for a $10 Mookie or Riverchasers? I think we shatter 200 for one of those events.

This is also going to be a monumental task for any of us to tackle these huge fields and win a TOC seat. After watching some of the play and some of the donkerific beats last night man one will need some good fortune to go through 150 players. I am on the fence and I keep going back and forth on whether I am going to play or not going to play most of the events. Time will tell I guess.

Tonight.

And while you are killing time at work go read some of this.
